December 17, 2019, Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Vancouver, BC – The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) partnered with VIA Rail and Fresh Tracks Canada to develop a unique, exclusive group tour travelling from Vancouver to Winnipeg. Journey of Discovery – Rails and Nations, is a one-of-a-kind tour designed to allow guests to gain a new understanding of Canada through Indigenous culture and history.

While travelling from Vancouver to Winnipeg, guests will experience Indigenous ceremonies, feasts and specially themed private tours including the following ITAC members: Skwacháys Lodge, Talaysay Tours, Wanuskewin Heritage Park and Feast Café Bistro. Many other suggestions will be provided for their free time. This tour offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for guests to learn about Indigenous culture first-hand from their fully guided Indigenous host.
