December 17, 2019, Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Vancouver, BC – The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) attended “Visit China, Where Culture Shines,” a presentation and gala dinner hosted by The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China. The event was held at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver on Friday, December 13.
“Visit China, Where Culture Shines” is a major promotional campaign for China’s tourism industry, providing opportunities to showcase their unique culture and tourism opportunities. This event also created an opportunity to strengthen the relationship, bilateral exchanges and tourism cooperation between Canada and China.
China is an important tourism market for Canada and ITAC was honoured to attend this prestigious event. Keith Henry, President and CEO, and Ryan Rogers, Marketing Coordinator, attended the event on ITAC’s behalf.
