Fresh off the success at ITB Berlin, ITAC was invited to attend the Alberta specialist events, as hosted by Travel Alberta, in Berlin, Germany on Sunday March 11 & Monday, March 12, 2018.

On Sunday, ITAC was joined by Chef Bill Alexander from Tsuut’ina Nation’s Grey Eagle Resort & Casino in Calgary who presented and cooked for 90 Alberta Specialist guests, as invited by Travel Alberta. The event was held at the Kochbox, a well-known local restaurant which provided Chef Alexander the opportunity to expand the regular menu beyond German favourites to include various Indigenous Canada dishes featuring fresh ingredients from Alberta. The event was a great success and ITAC would like to thank Travel Alberta for including ITAC to authentically present Indigenous tourism and cuisine as a key highlight at their event. The event ended with a beautiful presentation by the Calgary Stampede Indian Princess, Cieran Starlight.

The following morning, ITAC Sales and Marketing Manager Sebastien Desnoyers Picard did a presentation to the agents, highlighting the strong partnerships ITAC has to grow the Indigenous tourism industry in Alberta, and featured ITAC members from across Alberta.

The overall event was a great success and a perfect opportunity to showcase ITAC leadership and a great partnership.

Thanks again to Travel Alberta for their support and partnership on this year’s ITB Events including the Canadian Embassy Event and invitation to attend their specialist training days.
