November 21, 2019, Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Vancouver, BC – Today, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his new cabinet for the next four years.
The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) would like to congratulate Marc Miller who will be the new Minister of Indigenous Services, replacing the Honorable Seamus O’Regan.
“We’d like to thank the Honorable Seamus O’Regan for all his hard work,” says Keith Henry, president and CEO of ITAC. “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with him and wish him luck in his new role as Minister of Natural Resources.”
The Honorable Mélanie Joly will be taking on a new ministry ‘Economic Development and Official Languages’ which also includes the tourism portfolio. The Honorable Carolyn Bennett will remain as the Minister of Crown-Indigenous relations
