ITAC is well-represented this week at the largest trade show in the world, the Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) in Berlin, Germany. ITAC staff, along with our partner Destination Canada, are joined by more than 30 other sellers from across Canada who are meeting and networking with key travel trade and media from throughout German speaking Europe.
ITAC is also the platinum sponsor of the official Canada event, taking place tomorrow, March 8, 2018 at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin. Chef Bill Alexander from the Grey Eagle Resort & Casino will prepare Indigenous-themed cuisine for over 300 guests that evening which feature flavours from Alberta, to honour are partners for the event: Tourism Calgary and Travel Alberta.
During the evening, traditional dancers Bryce Morrisson from St. Albert, AB, and Aroussen Morrisson from Wendake, QC will present a song to the crowd and dance alongside Calgary Stampede Indian Princess Cieran Starlight. In addition, Delree Dumont, Cree artist from Alberta will be creating two paintings of the evening which will be gifted to local officials along with presenting individual gifts to each delegate that evening. Keep an eye out for some more media interest as all three artists join the Stampede Princess for a small press event organized by the Calgary Stampede and Tourism Calgary at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
