Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Vancouver, BC — The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) is pleased to share its participation in the 2024 Signature Travel Network Conference, in partnership with Destination Canada, from November 11–14, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. This must-attend event of the year brings together over 2,800 travel industry professionals, including Signature travel advisors, managers, agency owners, and partners, to connect, share ideas and develop new business opportunities.
Signature Travel Network is a member-owned community of leading travel agencies and supplier partners in the industry. The Network collectively generates $11+ billion in annual sales and has experienced unprecedented growth in the past ten years.
The theme for this year’s conference was SHAPING TRAVEL TOGETHER. Signature Travel Network celebrates members and partners who work hand in hand to create unforgettable and transformative travel experiences for travellers across the globe.
ITAC Communications Manager, Ryan Rogers, will engage in 32 meetings with Signature travel advisors and attend various networking events and workshops. His presence will highlight Indigenous tourism experiences to an exclusive network of industry leaders and introduce ITAC’s newly launched Indigenous Tourism Education Modules.
Indigenous Tourism Education Modules; Promoting Indigenous Tourism Through Education
This unique offering, Indigenous Tourism Education Modules, was officially announced at the 2024 Signature Owner’s Meeting in Montréal and is available exclusively to Signature members until the end of December 2024. After that time, it will be open to the broader travel industry.
This program aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of Indigenous tourism in Canada. The training modules have been designed to provide the insights and tools needed to support and promote the growing Indigenous tourism sector across the country. Each module offers comprehensive insights and practical knowledge, enhancing travel advisors’ abilities to identify and connect with authentic Indigenous tourism experiences.
As ITAC continues to build partnerships and boost awareness for Indigenous tourism, events such as the Signature Travel Network Conference are essential in reaching a worldwide audience.
