The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada attended the first Indigenous Tourism Forum for the province of Newfoundland Labrador in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL from February 12th – 13th, 2018.

ITAC is a proud partner of the 2018 NL Indigenous Tourism Forum, an event that is laying the foundation for an updated Indigenous tourism strategy for the province. The forum received interest from media, with CBC Radio Newfoundland & Labrador interviewing attendees, and had many of NL’s Destination Management Organizations in attendance.

The Province of Newfoundland Labrador is realizing the importance of an Indigenous tourism industry lead by Inuit, Innu, and Mi’kmaq communities and is seeing growing Indigenous community support.
