The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) is pleased to issue the following CALL FOR APPLICATIONS to qualified Indigenous tourism businesses and Indigenous Tourism Marketing Organizations to participate as sellers in the 2021 Virtual Rendez-Vous Canada+ Partnership Program.

The 2021 Virtual Rendez-Vous Canada+ Partnership Program is an initiative that aims to increase participation from qualified Indigenous tourism providers at the upcoming Rendez-Vous Canada+ held virtually.

Due to the pandemic and health and safety guidelines, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) has made the decision to host this year’s Rendez-Vous Canada (RVC) fully virtual. As a result, they are launching the RVC+ platform. RVC+ is an opportunity to share with travel trade operators our love of Canada and our unique and distinctive Indigenous cultures in order to foster a strong and vibrant tourism economy in this country.

The basics of RVC are the same. RVC+ will continue to be Canada’s leading international travel trade show and will allow ITAC and its members to pursue new opportunities and increase interaction with distribution network partners during these challenging times.


In this particularly challenging time for Indigenous tourism businesses, ITAC has made a decision to fully cover the cost of registration fees for a virtual booth with appointment schedule including:

  • A virtual booth
  • Appointment schedule offering the possibility to arrange appointments with sellers in advance
  • Virtual delegate registration
  • Business listing on the RVC+ online directory

Total value of $1,245 + applicable taxes.

Additional booth upgrades and delegate registrations can be added as follows (and payable to ITAC)

If you wish, you may choose among the following options, at your own expense, payable to ITAC:

  • Option to purchase additional registrations for virtual delegates with scheduled appointments: $550 + applicable taxes
  • Option to purchase additional registrations for virtual delegates (without an appointment schedule): $95 + applicable taxes

All option fees are due and payable to ITAC, by March 1st, 2021

How to Apply

This offer is available to the first 35 ITAC members that sign up. In this context, ITAC has made the decision to offer this opportunity as a priority to businesses that have participated at RVC in the past. Afterwards, the opportunity will be available for other export-ready ITAC members.

Note: Successful applicants must be members of the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada, or be prepared to meet the requirements of membership to ITAC.
