Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Vancouver, BC – The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) is pleased to share that Samantha Bradley ITAC’s Provincial and Territorial Engagement Manager, has recently joined the Bill Reid Foundation Board of Directors.

The Bill Reid Foundation was established in 1999 to honour the legacy of Bill Reid and celebrate the diverse Indigenous cultures of the Northwest Coast. In 2002 Dr. Martine Reid gifted the Bill and Martine Reid Collection to the Bill Reid Foundation with the intent of creating the Bill Reid Gallery.

Bradley is a member of the Haida Nation and belongs to the Yahgujaanas Xaadee from the village of Dadens. With over eight years in the Indigenous tourism industry, she has built relationships across the country in global travel media, travel trade, provincial Indigenous tourism organizations as well as federal and provincial government partners through her work as the Stakeholder and Marketing Manager with Indigenous Tourism BC.

It was Haida Gwaii where Bradley’s journey in tourism first began, working for her Nation, first for Westcoast Resorts, and later for the Haida Corporation’s Haida Tourism company as a Marketing Coordinator. Now based in Vancouver, she is honoured to live on the lands and waters of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, Tsleil-Waututh, and Musqueam peoples, where Bradley completed her post-secondary studies at Capilano University in Arts and Entertainment Management.

ITAC congratulates Samantha Bradley for her voluntary commitment to contemporary Indigenous art. The Bill Reid Foundation and its Gallery celebrate the vital and diverse Indigenous cultures of the Northwest Coast through the extraordinary work of Bill Reid and the presentation of exceptional contemporary art. The Bill Reid Gallery is Canada’s only public gallery dedicated to contemporary Indigenous Art of the Northwest Coast.
