Community Globetrotting was an exclusive, invitation-only event and a celebration of Virtuoso, the world’s top luxury travel network. The Community Globetrotting event was dedicated to spotlighting unique travel sectors while building meaningful connections between advisors and partners. The event featured themed pavilions where advisors discovered destinations and products through immersive, hands-on experiences.

Moreover, this year’s showcase highlighted niches such as cruise, adventure, family, culinary, wellness, and sustainability—giving ITAC the chance to connect directly with advisors who have shared interest in promoting and booking authentic Indigenous tourism experiences.

At the event, ITAC was represented by Sales & Travel Trade Manager Markus Kruse alongside Elder and Knowledge Keeper Lilyrose Meyers from Métis Crossing. In over 50 meetings with global travel advisors and media, they shared stories of Indigenous stewardship, showing how Indigenous tourism safeguards culture, language, and traditions while inspiring future generations.

Their sessions also featured powerful, member-led examples of sustainable tourism excellence, including Kahnawà:ke Tourism, Métis Crossing, Takaya Tours, and Warrior Women.

ITAC’s presence at Virtuoso Travel Week created meaningful opportunities to showcase Indigenous tourism and its positive impacts at an international trade event —elevating the sector’s visibility in the U.S. and beyond.
