(Coronado, CA)  – The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) and Destination Canada attended the Signature Travel Network Owners’ Meeting from September 3–6, 2025, at the Hotel Del Coronado. This prestigious event brings together CEOs and Presidents from leading U.S.-based travel agencies, along with partners such as tourism boards, cruise lines, and hotels, making it a prime opportunity to showcase the richness and diversity of Indigenous tourism in Canada.

Destination Canada graciously sponsored ITAC’s attendance, allowing us to engage directly with travel industry leaders. ITAC Director of Marketing Tamara Littlelight and Destination Canada Travel Trade Manager Jenn Burling for the U.S. participated in 20 scheduled 10-minute match appointments with agency owners from the Signature Travel Network. These appointments are invaluable in positioning Indigenous tourism experiences as must-see offerings for U.S. travellers.

For the past three years, ITAC has attended the Signature Owners Meeting alongside Destination Canada, helping to increase awareness and understanding of Canada and Indigenous tourism. Despite U.S. tariffs, the ITAC team remains committed to ensuring U.S.-based travel agency owners that Canada remains open and welcoming to U.S. visitors.
