Algonquin Anishinaabeg Territory (Ottawa, ON)The 2024 International Indigenous Tourism Conference (IITC) will be hosted in the unceded Algonquin Anishinaabeg Territory in Ottawa, Ontario, from February 26 to 28, 2024.

IITC brings people together in the spirit of learning and inspiration. As the largest Indigenous tourism conference in the world, IITC contributes greatly toward the advancement of the Indigenous tourism industry.

The 2024 conference theme, “Where Nations Meet,” symbolizes the convergence of diverse Indigenous nations, cultures, and perspectives, creating a place for dialogue, exchange, and collaboration for Indigenous tourism. “Where Nations Meet” is your invitation to experience Indigenous tourism in Ottawa.

“The 2024 conference will provide ample opportunities to connect with industry professionals, Indigenous tourism operators, destination marketing organizations, and government representatives, “ says ITAC President and CEO Keith Henry. “This conference for networking and collaboration will foster meaningful partnerships and collaborations, creating a strong foundation for future growth as we aim to make Canada the global leader in Indigenous tourism by 2030.”

Organized annually by the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC), the successful event has been delivered in partnership with various regional Indigenous tourism organizations and other regional and national supporting tourism organizations for the past ten years. IITC was previously held in Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
