The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada has launched the 2018 Membership Program and is actively seeking voting and non-voting members. ITAC is a membership-based organization and any person or organization that has an interest in advancing and supporting the growth of Indigenous tourism in Canada may apply to become an ITAC Member.
The 2018 Membership Program is based on two main categories of voting or non-voting, with five membership types. Membership is open to Indigenous-owned and controlled businesses and organizations as well as non-Indigenous businesses, communities, marketing organizations, chambers of commerce, etc. For more information about the benefits and application requirements for membership please see the ITAC 2018 Membership Program Guide.
An additional Export-Ready Upgrade is also available to market-ready and export-ready Indigenous-owned tourism businesses. Benefits include a spot in the Indigenous Experiences Guide, which will be promoted extensively to consumers, travel trade and industry partners by ITAC and Destination Canada, as well as a hosted business page at IndigenousTourism.ca.
The deadline for submitting completed membership applications is March 31, 2018.
