The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) sent a letter on behalf of the Indigenous tourism industry to key Province of BC Government leadership this week regarding the impacts of farmed salmon in BC.

ITAC is a national membership based organization which includes several members within British Columbia, including a number of outdoor adventure and Indigenous experiences along coastal BC. As the issues of farmed salmon grow, there is strong concerns that Indigenous tourism experiences and significant investments will be negatively impacted.

This issue has current and future impacts to the Indigenous tourism industry and as an industry we urge all Provinces and Territories to understand the positive or negative impacts of farmed salmon.
