The 2018 Adventure Elevate conference, as hosted by the Adventure Travel Trade Association, was hosted this week in Banff, Alberta. More than 300 delegates representing destinations around the world, tour operators and specialized media, bloggers and influencers gathered together under blue skies in Banff to talk all things adventure.

Before the conference started, ITAC Director of Marketing was invited to join a pre-tour featuring ITAC members Grey Eagle Resort, Painted Warriors & Mahikan Trails, amongst other stops. Beyond providing an opportunity to get outside and enjoy Alberta, the ITAC members who hosted the group shared culture, stories and experiences that the group will not soon forget. New York-based photographer Kirsten Alana shared “I realized how little I know about Indigenous peoples and a bright spark of curiosity was lit within me that I’m excited to have stoked further as we travel through the province.”
