ITAC was in attendance at the Impact Sustainability Travel & Tourism Conference in Victoria, BC that took place January 20th to 23rd. ITAC was joined by tourism peers and stakeholders for a collaborative national dialogue on innovation and the contribution of tourism to Canada’s sustainable future. Many speakers showed commitment and passion to building Indigenous tourism throughout the nation.

Keith Henry, co-chair of the event, stated “Indigenous tourism has grown 26% within the last three years, compared to growth of 14% in national tourism – it’s truly unprecedented.”

It was great is to see is how Indigenous tourism is another important partner in this national conversation. ITAC was proud to be a supporter and partner of 2019 IMPACT.
