The ITAC team is currently in Moncton, New Brunswick for the 2019 Atlantic Indigenous Tourism Summit. The summit, taking place May 7 to 9, in the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw & Wolostokwey and Passamaquaoddy peoples, is bringing together individuals, business owners, artists and crafters, community leaders, industry and government departments that are all interested to learn more about the Indigenous tourism movement across Canada.

ITAC President and CEO, Keith Henry stated, “One of my key messages was that we need to commit to increased marketing messages that Atlantic Canada is another great Indigenous destination.”

An excellent turnout of over 130 delegates from Atlantic Canada committed to building Indigenous tourism. The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada is proud to see our Indigenous tourism partners becoming so successful.
