Alors que le pays continue de pleurer les enfants perdus dans les pensionnats et peine \u00e0 poursuivre concr\u00e8tement la r\u00e9conciliation, le tourisme autochtone joue un r\u00f4le cl\u00e9 dans la sensibilisation et le partage des cultures autochtones. Faire l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience du tourisme autochtone est un moyen pour les Canadiens allochtones d&rsquo;acqu\u00e9rir une nouvelle perspective, de se rapprocher des terres, des traditions et du mode de vie des peuples autochtones et de mieux comprendre l&rsquo;histoire autochtone au Canada tout en contribuant \u00e0 la croissance \u00e9conomique autochtone.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Un soutien financier d\u00e9montre la r\u00e9conciliation en action en appuyant la cr\u00e9ation et l\u2019expansion des projets de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique touristique avec les communaut\u00e9s autochtones, tout en soutenant l&rsquo;autod\u00e9termination des entreprises autochtones\u00a0\u00bb, a expliqu\u00e9 M. Keith Henry, pr\u00e9sident-directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l\u2019ATAC. \u00ab\u00a0Avant la COVID-19, la croissance du tourisme autochtone au Canada offrait un avantage concurrentiel mondialement reconnu \u00e0 l&rsquo;industrie touristique du pays. Le tourisme autochtone contribuait \u00e9galement \u00e0 la croissance \u00e9conomique et apportait un soutien \u00e0 plusieurs communaut\u00e9s autochtones, dont les plus vuln\u00e9rables, tout en offrant un mod\u00e8le de r\u00e9ussite par et pour les Autochtones.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Avant la pand\u00e9mie, le tourisme autochtone au Canada avait connu une croissance sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des programmes et des solutions dirig\u00e9s par des Autochtones et sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7us par l\u2019ATAC pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des op\u00e9rateurs touristiques autochtones. En 2019, la contribution du tourisme autochtone au PIB a augment\u00e9 de 1,4 G$ \u00e0 pr\u00e8s de 1,9 G$ et le nombre d\u2019entreprises touristiques autochtones pr\u00eates \u00e0 l\u2019exportation est pass\u00e9 de 65 \u00e0 plus de 130 en seulement trois ans. En moins de 24 mois, la contribution du tourisme autochtone au PIB \u00e9tait r\u00e9duite de 70 %, ce qui a entra\u00een\u00e9 l&rsquo;hibernation de plusieurs entreprises touristiques autochtones \u00e0 travers le Canada et une perte substantielle d&#8217;emplois.<\/p>\n<p>Les efforts et la strat\u00e9gie nationale de l&rsquo;ATAC s&rsquo;alignent sur les appels \u00e0 l&rsquo;action des Nations Unies pour contribuer de mani\u00e8re significative aux objectifs de d\u00e9veloppement durable (ODD).<\/p>\n<p>Alors que l&rsquo;industrie touristique autochtone au Canada se remet du choc de la pand\u00e9mie, l\u2019ATAC s&rsquo;est fix\u00e9e pour objectif d&rsquo;aller de l&rsquo;avant de la mani\u00e8re la plus flexible et la plus durable possible en contribuant de mani\u00e8re significative \u00e0 plusieurs ODD. Les trois grandes priorit\u00e9s du plan strat\u00e9gique 2022-2025 sont les suivantes\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Inspirer les entreprises membres de l\u2019ATAC <\/strong>\u00e0 travers le pays \u00e0 reconstruire ou \u00e0 recentrer leur offre touristique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un soutien cibl\u00e9 aux entreprises, \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9ducation et \u00e0 la formation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tirer parti des opportunit\u00e9s de partenariat et des investissements <\/strong>avec les organisations touristiques autochtones provinciales et territoriales afin de les aider \u00e0 retenir leurs membres et leur infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Renforcer le leadership national de l\u2019ATAC afin de d\u00e9fendre les int\u00e9r\u00eats <\/strong>des op\u00e9rateurs touristiques autochtones et de stabiliser le financement par l&rsquo;interm\u00e9diaire du gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral, des partenaires et des membres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alors que la pand\u00e9mie a interrompu la forte croissance de l\u2019industrie touristique autochtone, l\u2019ATAC a r\u00e9vis\u00e9 ses objectifs pour revenir aux niveaux pr\u00e9pand\u00e9miques d\u2019ici 2025, soit trois ans plus t\u00f4t que pr\u00e9vu\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1,9 G$ de contribution directe au PIB;<\/li>\n<li>1900 entreprises touristiques autochtones;<\/li>\n<li>40 000 employ\u00e9s dans l\u2019industrie touristique autochtone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>L&rsquo;ATAC a \u00e9troitement soutenu les entreprises touristiques autochtones tout au long de la pand\u00e9mie et cela n&rsquo;aurait pas \u00e9t\u00e9 possible sans l\u2019appui continu des partenaires financiers et du gouvernement du Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Ce plan de relance n\u00e9cessite un investissement de 65 M$ sur trois ans, ce qui permettra de cr\u00e9er 21 000 emplois. 57 % de tous les emplois dans l&rsquo;industrie touristique autochtone sont occup\u00e9s par des Autochtones, soit deux fois plus que tout autre secteur, et 33 % de toutes les entreprises touristiques autochtones au Canada appartiennent \u00e0 des femmes. De plus, la contribution au PIB reviendra \u00e0 1,86 G$ d&rsquo;ici 2025, trois ans plus t\u00f4t que pr\u00e9vu. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cet investissement sur trois ans, l&rsquo;industrie touristique autochtone se reconstruira plus rapidement et plus efficacement, avec une approche men\u00e9e par les Autochtones et adapt\u00e9e aux besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des op\u00e9rateurs touristiques autochtones.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque l&rsquo;ATAC investit avec ses partenaires de l&rsquo;industrie, cet investissement est davantage mis \u00e0 profit avec les organisations de marketing provinciales et les organisations de marketing de destinations. Ce financement circulaire a un effet de levier qui soutient efficacement la croissance de l&rsquo;industrie touristique autochtone dans tout le pays.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Merci \u00e0 nos partenaires de l&rsquo;industrie qui se sont joints \u00e0 nous dans la planification strat\u00e9gique. Leur collaboration et leur engagement en termes de temps ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inestimables pour aligner notre strat\u00e9gie nationale du tourisme autochtone \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 M. Henry. \u00ab La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 est que nous devons reconstruire l\u2019industrie touristique autochtone avant 2025. Si nous attendons jusqu\u2019en 2028, les entreprises ne survivront pas.
