ITAC presented during an important forum: Indigenous Tourism “Planning for the Future – Outlets of Opportunity”

COAST SALISH TERRITORY (Vancouver, BC) – Supporting the growth of the Indigenous economy and tourism across Manitoba, Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada’s (ITAC) Keith Henry joined a panel of experts virtually, to discuss how Indigenous tourism offers economic opportunities for Indigenous people living in urban environments.

Hosted by Indigenous Services Canada and the Urban Programming for Indigenous People, the Manitoba focused webinar created a networking place to discuss, plan and share best practices, and where partnership-based approaches to challenges can be developed. Webinar attendance was open to any federal, provincial, municipal or First Nation representative who may find value in the forum for discussion, which took place last week on June 11.

“I was honoured to join this important discussion, which has always been and will continue to be important for the growth of Indigenous tourism across Manitoba,” says Henry.
