Canadian Indigenous tourism businesses encourage to apply now.
September 5, 2018, Coast Salish Territories (Vancouver, BC) – Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC) invites Canadian Indigenous tourism businesses to apply for funding of up to $10,000 each to support tourism product development, designed to improve market-ready and export-ready status.
Deadline for submissions is Friday, September 28, 2018 by 4:30 p.m. PST. Investing in market/export readiness provides a tourism business the opportunity to gain greater marketplace awareness, larger volumes of visitors and sustainable business growth.
Applying for the funding takes only moments via an on-line application process and business owners can learn more about market/export ready standards by reviewing the “National Guidelines for Indigenous Tourism“.
Eligibility for this program is restricted to Canadian Indigenous tourism businesses at least 51% owned by Indigenous individuals OR majority owned Indigenous companies OR Indigenous-controlled organizations such as Bands and Tribal Councils.
