Mark your calendars and start making plans to join your tourism sector colleagues at the 2017 edition of the Tourism Congress, TIAC’s annual conference.
This November, the Tourism Congress will be held at the Hotel Lac Leamy, close to Parliament Hill and the heart of government activity in Canada. Delegates from across the country will once again converge on the capital region and interact with the elected officials and decision-makers whose departments and agencies impact the travel and tourism industry.
Canadian Inbound Tourism Association – Asia Pacific (CITAP) is committed to further developing Canada as the preferred destination for Asia Pacific travellers. CITAP was established in 1997 by the leaders of our Receptive Tour Operators. They had the vision to increase the business from the Asia Pacific market into Canada by working collectively on marketing initiatives and by approaching our various levels of government to support the needs of our industry.
Now, nearly 20 years later, our membership has grown to be 300 strong from coast to coast within Canada and also from the United States.

Snow takes center stage for AdventureELEVATE in March 2018, as the North American travel trade heads north to Banff, Alberta, where delegates can enjoy the immense mix of snowsport the town has to offer, including skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding, snowshoeing, fat biking and icewalks before taking a dip in natural hot springs. It’s easy to feel alive breathing the refreshing air below vast peaks, like Cascade Mountain, just under 10,000 feet (3000 meters) in elevation, or exploring in broader Alberta region, where there is more than seven million acres of protected land (source).
